What is supported living?

Supported living helps people with a range of support needs retain their independence whilst still having that extra physical and emotional support needed to lead completely fulfilled lives in their own homes. Supported living services enable people with a range of needs to live happy and fulfilling lives, independently and safely in their local communities. When a person goes into supported living, they have their own home with their own tenancy agreement. At the same time, they receive support and care which can range from a few hours a week to one-to-one support, 24 hours a day.

Our supported living

We are providing not just a home, but also support tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of our service users. We create an environment that fosters a sense of pride, coupled with support systems that enhance confidence and independence, can significantly contribute to our service user's overall well-being. Our supported living focus on person-centered care, recognising the uniqueness of each individual and their specific challenges and strengths. Building rewarding relationships is a key aspect of this approach, as it helps create a supportive community and contributes to a more positive living experience.

We provide supported living that helps people to gain more control over their lives, encouraging them to be confident and happy to make their own choices and decisions.

What is moving into supported living like?

Our supported living services are designed to cater to the diverse needs of adults across the UK facing various conditions such as learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or mental health needs. The transition into supported living is a significant step for many service users, we focus on providing friendly encouragement and emotional support during this period. .

Additionally, the support extended to families is crucial, recognising that the transition affects not only the service users but also their loved ones. By providing assistance to families, we contribute to a more holistic and comprehensive support system.

We have a holistic approach aiming to help service users not only meet their basic needs but also thrive in their personal growth and ambitions. Focusing on aspects like learning new life skills, building confidence, pursuing hobbies, making friends, and exploring opportunities in volunteering or employment reflects a commitment to promoting a fulfilling and meaningful life for those you support.

By acknowledging and encouraging both small and large goals, we contribute to a positive and supportive environment where individuals can develop a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
